About the Tour

Itinerary:

Day 1:


• Your journey begins in Masalli, a town known for its natural beauty. Witness the eternal flames of Yanardag ("Flames of thermal springs), a natural gas fire that has been burning for centuries.


• Relax and rejuvenate at Istisu, a renowned spa resort known for its therapeutic mud baths and mineral springs.


• Continue to Lankaran, a city nestled amidst lush greenery. Explore the Lankaran botanical garden, a treasure trove of diverse flora.


• Learn about the region's tea production with a visit to a local tea plantation. Savor a cup of freshly brewed Azerbaijani tea, perhaps next to the Samovar circle, a symbol of Azerbaijani tea culture.


• Depending on the season, enjoy a refreshing afternoon at Lankaran's beach before settling in for the night.


Day 2:


• Travel deeper south to Lerik, a region renowned for its breathtaking waterfalls. Hike amidst stunning scenery to reach the cascading Qelebin, Bibioni and Sivakaran waterfalls. ( Note: short hiking on the way and off-road car )


• Explore the mesmerizing natural canyons that carve through the landscape.


• Immerse yourself in the tranquility of Lerik's nature and spend the night surrounded by the beauty of the region.


Day 3:


• Travel north towards Sheki, a city steeped in history and culture.


• Explore the magnificent Sheki Khan's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing exquisite Azerbaijani architecture.

• Wander through the Sheki Caravanserai, a historical landmark that once served as a resting place for travelers on the Silk Road.


• Take in panoramic city views from a scenic viewpoint and delve into the region's rich heritage by visiting an ancient Albanian temple, remnants of a pre-Islamic civilization.


• Explore the tranquil Bio Garden, a haven of peace and natural beauty.


• Spend the night in Sheki, allowing time to delve deeper into its charm.


Day 4:

• Head towards Gabala, a mountainous region offering stunning scenery.


• Ascend the heights of Mount Tufandag, a popular winter sports destination offering breathtaking views in summer as well.

• Enjoy a scenic boat ride on the serene Nohur Lake.

• Continue your journey to Lahij, a village renowned for its coppersmiths and other skilled artisans.

• Spend the night in the charming town of Ismayilli, nestled amidst the mountains.



Day 5:

• Travel to Khizi and to the remote village of Khinalig.


• Embark on a thrilling off-road adventure (weather permitting) or arrange a horse ride to reach Khinalig, one of the highest and most isolated villages in Europe.


• Immerse yourself in the unique culture and traditions of the local people, known as the "mountain Jews" for their historical links to Judaism.


• Savor a traditional meal and spend the night in a cozy guesthouse, experiencing the warmth of Azerbaijani hospitality.


Day 6:

• Depending on your departure time, enjoy some last-minute shopping at shopping malls/local bazaars or explore any hidden corners of Baku that pique your interest.


• Transfer to the airport/hotel
